Hands-on experiments are like the sparkly glitter on the teaching path - they help students to really grasp the complex concepts of electricity and magnetism. In the 4th grade, I explained the basics of a magnetic field in a playful way by building an electromagnetic train out of copper wire, magnets and a battery. When the battery was stopped, the current flow was interrupted. However, once the current flowed through the wire to the other side of the battery, a magnetic field was created within the coil, causing the train to move in a similar way to a real train.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Together with the pupils in the 3rd grade, we built a small electric motor made from the same materials as the electromagnetic train. The copper wire rotates around the battery. The experiment allows the pupils to experience the effect of the Lorentz force at first hand.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Through sport activities, students not only develop their physical skills, but also a deeper understanding of themselves and others. The focus is less on success and more on\u00a0<\/span>on how they deal with challenges such as frustration - be it through defeat in a game or other difficulties.<\/span><\/p>

I want to create an environment where each student has the opportunity to self-discover and celebrate their individuality while learning to be part of a team.<\/span><\/p>

In my course for 8th and 9th graders, the focus is on helping the teenagers discover their interests and talents so that they can make a well-prepared decision about their professional future. I make sure to take into account the different preferences of each individual - for example, the profession of a butcher would probably not be the best choice for a vegetarian.<\/p>

To promote self-perception, I work not only with personality tests, but also with creative, playful tasks such as storytelling. If someone comes up with a particularly imaginative story, this could be an indication that a career in education is a good fit for the person. Storytelling skills are particularly valuable here in order to explain complex topics in a clear and understandable way.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
